This trip was my fourth to Thailand, and this time, I stayed a month, mostly in Chiang Mai. During this month, I stayed at Kodchasri Thani initially for 4 nights, then I returned two separate times, the place was that nice! This is a pet friendly hotel and on my 3 visit I heard whimpering, so I went looking for and found the hotel's dogs in a dingy back cage. Immediately, I asked the staff if I could take them for a walk, and they allowed me to do so (3 times). I am soooo grateful for this. Those dogs, one a husky pup was so sweet and sooooo in need of a walk. We literally ran for a few blocks each time. I STRONGLY encourage visitors to seek out these pups, for by US standards they are neglected and starving for exercise and attention. They are the sweetest! I am petitioning the hotel staff to allow them a bigger space to move and much much more exercise each day. Please help support this hotel and this cause. Everything else about it makes me dream about my next visit.

They staff and management has kept and maintained the hotel on a very high standard. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a room upgrade and that shocked us as we seldom get upgrades, I stand corrected, we never get upgrades. Room was very spacious and well appointed. Room and washroom amenities were more than adequate. House keeping was very efficient. Breakfast spread was adequate but could've been better. Hotel pool was a welcoming respite from a day of walking in the old city or sight seeing. Location is awesome .. walking distance to most sights in and around the old city walls. Lots of eateries a stone's throw away. Will stay here if we ever visit Chiang Mai again. Highly Recommended!

The hotel was beautiful, the gardens were so well kept and the koi pond and waterfall made it so tranquil. There were mosquitoes though so just wear bug spray! Breakfast had so many options and the coffee is excellent, definitely try the lattes! The location was perfect too, next to bars, restaurants, laundry, and bike rentals. The rooms were spacious, the bed felt hard at first but actually was quite comfortable for sleeping. Pool was awesome too, not a lot of space to sit around it if it was busy, but we were here in off season so it was perfect. Gym is also great. And the staff were all so welcoming and kind to our little family. We had the best time and were so sad to leave. Would absolutely stay again.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, we truly felt like valued guests. The warmth of their welcoming hospitality makes this a very special place. The location is excellent - easy access to top sites while the neighborhood is a charming destination unto itself. Get a 50 baht bowl of noodles for lunch from the lady across the street. Or restock essentials at the family shop on the corner. This neighborhood has everything you need and it feels authentic. Take a moment to sit and appreciate the beautiful woodcarvings located everywhere you look in the hotel.

We LOVED this hotel. Fantastic location for exploring the old town of Chiang Mai. The hotel felt like a little oasis with the pool, and the sound or water in the covered lounge area giving the whole place a very tranquil feel. We also loved the daily offerings to The Bhudda - the incense smelled wonderful. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in Chaing Mai and because we ended up staying for about 9 days we felt a little like locals. We would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.
